We are passing underneath Cape Agulhas. Where the Indian Ocean meets the Atlantic Ocean. It is the southern tip of Africa. I thought the southern tip was Cape Good Hope, but a little research this morning proved that wrong. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
I think we slept pretty well last night. I woke up feeling pretty good. Mary went down to breakfast. I stayed up in the room. I’m hooked into this Netflix series I'm watching. Although, I can't think of the name of it so how hooked can I be, I guess.
Mary had a appointment at 11:00. So, I went out on 7 and pushed while she was at her appointment. I was out there for a good hour. It was not rocking too badly. The temperature was in the 70s so it was just right. Maybe it was a little too cool, but it was nice.
We decided to play in the 1:30 tournament so we went there about 1:00. There were only nine players. Mary made it down to 5th or 6th. The stars aligned for me, and I was able to get first place. It was like $260. I'll take it. While I was still playing, Mary went over and played bingo. Unfortunately, she was not as successful as I was. She said she was one number off from the big winnings. Oh well, we have two more legs left. The big bingo jackpot happens at the end of each leg. I guess I have not explicitly mentioned it before, but the first leg was Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles. The second leg was from Los Angeles to Sydney. The third leg was from Sydney to Cape Town. It will be Cape Town to Rome. In the fifth leg will be Rome to Fort Lauderdale. At the end of each of these legs there is a big bingo jackpot. Anyway, Mary did not win this time.
We made our way back up to the room. We sat here for a little while, before getting cleaned up for dinner. We stopped on the way to dinner to the picture place where we said our goodbyes to one of the camera people, Laura. She is getting off in Cape Town. We said our goodbyes. She was a lot of fun when taking pictures. If you are counting, we are up to somewhere near 350 pictures. That is beyond crazy in my opinion, and we are only halfway there.
For dinner I had a Sauvignon Blanc. For an appetizer I had crispy crab cake with a poached egg on top. It was pretty good. I've had it in the past. I also had a bowl of fish Stew. This is like all of their fish stews. It is a little bit of all kinds of fish and other little bits of seafood. This one like all the others, was good. Mary had salad. She also had their prime rib. She said it tasted good. I had crispy shrimp. We both had cherry sorbet for dessert. Dinner was a little bit rushed because we wanted to get to the show at 7:30.
We made it to the show a little after 7:00. The theater was pretty much filled by the time we got there. Mary had to sit on a folding chair, but it was near me so that was good. We waited for the show to start. It was another Freddie Mercury singer. We had one a couple of weeks ago. This one was also female. I thought the first one was better than this one, but they were both good. The song selection from this one was a little deeper so you had to know Queen a little bit better. Mary said her voice was fantastic. I will share the video if I can get it uploaded. At the end of the music, they had a parade of all the employees on the boat that were going home in Cape Town. There were a lot of them. I did not count obviously, but I would say there were 200 of them. From there we came home. I worked on the log. Mary's working on whatever Mary was working on. It was a good day at sea.
