Day 104 - Saturday, April 19th, 2025 – Cadiz, Spain
My notes for this day we're not the best. So I'm going to try to make it up as best I can. I'm also writing this about ten days after it happened so I will do my best. I think I mentioned it before, but I need to improve my note-taking skills. Now that I think about it, we are almost done with this trip is nearly over, so I don't think I will use it anymore. I'm just saying.
This excursion was called the coast of light. It was a short excursion because we were only at this port for a few hours. We met our driver and tour guide. I don't think either of them really understood or spoke English very well. Mary did better than I did. Upfront, it was a cold and yucky day. And that was pretty much what my mood was like. I tried, but I just couldn't turn the corner. I was in a funk most of the day. This meant they spent a lot of time in the car. It was cold throughout the day. Mary made the best of it of course. After introductions, we loaded up into the van and we drove to a little town called Vejer. I can probably let the pictures do the majority of the talking. As you can see, the buildings I don't almost all whitewashed. Everything is a very bright white. It is very pretty. Through a fishing village. Mary got out of the car more than once and when exploring. You can see from the pictures that that was a very silly and cobblestones everywhere. This was all the more reason for me to hide out in the van. The one point, they went to a convent of some sort. There really isn't much more to say. Mary blog T-shirts, magnets etcetera at a store down close to the cruise ship. We made it back early afternoon. I think we both agreed that this was a place that was nice but didn't offer anything that different.
We made it back onto the ship. I hung out in the room all night. Needed to recharge because we had more excursions coming out. A successful day for the most part.
