Day 76 - Saturday, March 22nd, 2025 – At Sea
Let's just call this a routine day. That's what it was. Mary went to breakfast. I didn't eat. It was too cold and windy to push. They actually had the 7th floor blocked so you couldn't go outside for quite a while. They do that when the seas are too rough. I guess they don't want people flopping overboard.
We played cards in the afternoon. Mary got third place. I bubbled. It was just one of those days where there was no magic. Ohh we will play again soon.
We went to dinner on 5. There were several things on the menu that we've had before. I just had it in my mind to try something different. On the menu every night is a shrimp cocktail. I thought I would try it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. It was four little shrimp in the glass bowl. I then decided to have the French onion soup. This was a better choice. It is consistently good. It's the third or fourth time I've had it. Mary also had the soup. She also had her big salad. For her entree she had a rotisserie chicken. It looked good. I had a seafood medley for lack of a better term. It had shrimp, calamari and scallops. It was all good. For dessert, I had what they call the mexicano which is coffee and kalua. It was actually pretty good. I might have to have that again. Mary had chocolate sorbet. It was a nice meal.
We decided not to go to the show. It was supposed to be a comedy and magician show. We heard from more than one person that the show was not that good so I think we made the right choice.
How was that for a quiet and boring day? Mary mentioned it again today that we're gonna get super busy super quick. These down days will help us prepare for the long days.
